www.homeword.com - HomeWord seeks to advance the work of God in the world by educating, equipping, and encouraging parents and churches to build God-honoring families from generation to generation.
www.cpyu.org - The Center for Parent/Youth Understanding is a nonprofit organization committed to building strong families by serving to bridge the cultural-generational gap between parents and teenagers. At a time when an already confusing youth culture is changing quickly, CPYU helps parents, youth workers, educators, and others understand teenagers and their culture so that they will be better equipped to help children and teens navigate the challenging world of adolescence.
For a long time we have tried to figure out how to best stay in contact with our parents and keep them up to date on things. We think we have found a great way to do just that. We have begun sending out a weekly parent e-mail newsletter. We are using the internet company Constant Contact. It is about thirty bucks a month and we can send out unlimited e-mails to a mailing list of under 2500 addresses. You don't have to go to this scale, but this can give you an idea of what could happen if you stay in touch with your parents or youth for that matter.
Check out some of our parent updates. (by the way, feel free to rip off and use whatever works for your group.)
